Description

This program aims to address major challenges related to agriculture and food insecurity in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We deploy sustainable, community-driven solutions tailored to the local context to maximize impact and ensure the long-term sustainability of our actions.

Specific Objectives

  • Train 500 smallholder farmers in sustainable agricultural techniques
  • Distribute drought-resistant seed varieties to 300 rural households
  • Establish 10 community seed banks across target provinces
  • Reaching 12,000 people with improved food security outcomes

Main Activities

Activity 1

Implementation of farmer field schools and hands-on agricultural training programs.

Activity 2

Distribution of quality seeds, tools, and agricultural inputs to targeted communities.

Activity 3

Construction and management of community grain storage facilities.

Activity 4

Awareness campaigns on nutrition, food preservation, and crop diversification.
